Walking the road together
The summer is done and as Fall approaches I have to say thank you and give my blessings to all who have shared the road, the ceremonies, the dance, laughter, and the workshops I organized across the Kootenays. Fall events are fully booked to capacity, and being just one man I have to say that spring will be the time for new friends to attend. I will do my best to keep this platform up to date this fall and winter.
Working with new friends on an individual basis to clear traumas with the guidance of the ancestors and creator has been a growth experience for myself also. To construct the medicine tools needed for these individuals and see them blossom has been heart rendering and warming. Teaching people the how, why, and history encapsulated in each piece establishes a connection with the tools and forges the spirit and soul of the item in a way that mass produced or items built by those who see this as a guru platform will never achieve. Art in all its form must be honoured and respected as it is all medicine that can otherwise be tainted.
The ability to travel and set up across the region has been a wonderful and fulfilling experience. To share and discuss in a kind, gentle, and understanding way has built new friendships and opened the eyes for many who never understood the complexities of the time and space we are in. These ripples will carry us into the future and build the new foundation of our relationships and cultures.
I now know for certain that my decision to cut ties with those who seek fame (ego driven) and fortune (greed driven) was a very correct decision. I could not and cannot endorse or ignore destructive and divisive behaviour. I now know working with individuals ready and willing to effect change in themselves and their environment is a path I am meant to walk. Those who spew venom and hate and deception will consume and expose themselves in time. This is free will at play and part of valued teachings surrounding the snake. (More to come on this later) Many talk the talk and few actually walk it and live in it moment to moment. But these numbers are growing and gives me much hope for our future.
Blessing to all who have shared and spent even a moment on the road with us.
AHO
